Maybe if you read the article and then realise it has nothing to do with the sensationalist headline you can all stop hating on our great player.

On the plus side, you'll all be well happy when Robbie goes and we're left looking to Tevez to entertain/score/do something. Nice one. I'm excited.

'Of course he talks to us about it,' Santa Cruz told Catalunya Radio. 'And the players are cracking jokes about it in the dressing room.
'In the English papers there's a lot of interest about Barca and Robinho is also not hiding his desire to play for them one day. But I guess we'll see.'

TMQ .. I have Robinho on the back of my shirt, even when at RM i always thought he was a top top player and when he came here i was literally gobsmacked .. the guy is a genius and i would love for him to stay .. look at the circumstances he came here in though without blue tinted specs on .. i think even if burnley came in for him on "that" day he would have signed .. but there is too much being said here and too often for there not to be some sort of deal going on .. city are denying it in my opinion to keep the fans happy .. he will be gone sooner or later IMO .. it will be a shame but we have to move on and get ready for games without him and get in a suitable replacement that actually wants to play for us ..

I took that to mean he spoke about the speculation, I can't see him telling the other players he's definitely unhappy and wants to leave but maybe that's just me.

It will be a shame, a great shame and he will not be replaced. At best we'll sign another winger and continue to make hard work of games as we shoe horn any old wank into a 442 and revel in only losing one game whilst not managing to win.

Be very careful TMQ, our resident intellect, Billy does not like people posting opinions that differ to his own...

You see, everything he says is fact, whilst the rest of us just spout bollox as far as he is concerned.

By the way, your bang on mate!

You're right TMQ .. we won't get anyone who can replace Robinho like for like as no 2 footballers are the same no matter how much people label this player or that "the next ...." it never happens in any sport .. but what we can do is get another player in who will make his own name and maybe hughes will go back to 4-3-3 .. when he sees what all the rest of us see .. Ribiery will do .. if not use what we have and get the best out of them ..

I'm quite sure he'll be replaced by a hard working player playing out of position who will guarantee us at least 5 goals per season.

Whilst I'm not doubting that RSC said those things, the headline certainly makes the most of the content of his comments.

He appears to be saying that Robinho is not hiding the fact that he wants to play for Barca one day. I don't personally have a problem with this - he didn't grow up a City fan, so I doubt he wants to stay with us forever.

The sentiment seems to be that the players are joking around about all the speculation, and that Robbie is simply saying 'it would be great to play for Barca one day'. I'm a City fan, and if I was a professional player I'd love to play for Barca because they have a great team and to me exemplify everything that is right about the beautiful game.

As usual, the media are making the most of some admittedly ill-advised comments to create a sensationailst headline, when the truth of the contant of the article is considerably less noteworthy.
