Reading some of the posts on here it seems some of you want robinho to run around doing what Zabaleta does, why?

He's clearly playing with no confidence, is playing out of position, and isn't sure where he fits in to the side at the moment. To say he's not arsed though is a bit tough on him I think.

If you want players like Robinho to go round tackling everything that moves, forget it cos it won't happen. Buy a defender instead.

We're not saying he has to win every challenge or be the worlds best tackler, but a few challenges wouldn't hurt, I understand you saying he's not that type of player, but neither was Stevie Ireland, yet this season he's bulked himself up and he's without doubt our player of the season because he now challenges for the ball, works his socks off and still has that flair that he always did have. If a little kid from Ireland can do it, then surely a 32 million pound superstar can.

But we didn't buy Robinho for his defensive properties did we?

He's the kind of player that just needs the freedom to play, in order to shine. I know what you're saying, I just think it's pointless getting pissed off at Robinho for not tackling enough, it's like being pissed off at Dunnie for not scoring enough. It's just not in his make up, and if we wanted an all action, back tracking, tough tackling, little genius then we should bought one and let Robinho go to Chelsea.

He could have so easily been the hero with some godamn luck, just how unlucky has he been the last 10matches? Must have had like 10 shots on the post\bar by now. And there are clearly a big difference here, some people demands that the doesn a big defensive job aswell, and somebody understand that Robinho is not and will never be that player.

He might not have been any worse than the others, but once again he went missing, at least you see the other players putting a shift in and trying to help the team, when we need our 32 million pound man he disappears away from home. You really do have to stop licking his arse now mate because surely everyone else can see he's not doing it away from home. I will always support him at the games but as soon as it finishes i'm allowed to point out where players need to improve on a discussion board.

I actually like the guy and want him to stay, but if he was to go I can't say I'd be too arsed tbh. We've proved in games such as West Ham at home and Sunderland away before he came and Schalke away and Villa at home that we can win games and put on great performances without him.

It makes me fucking seethe with anger TBH. Everyone knows the tabloid cunts pick up half their stories from here and utter wank like this just feeds their fire.

Robbie's going through a bad patch but he was the ONLY player to come close to scoring tonight.

We are lucky to have a player of his class, he needs support in his first ever season in the Premier League. The abuse he's getting off his own fans is disgusting, the rags could not do better.
