Burnley had no pace in midfield and we dominated them all over the pitch so it was an easier game for him.

Bur even so 119 touches of the ball is incredible!

He’s been full of mistakes and lacked energy before tonight, but his confidence could have been low. Only takes a good few training sessions and a good first few minutes in a game to get confidence.

Hopefully a turning point for him.

Be interesting to see if he can play at that level in a fast paced game against a good midfield but very pleased for the lad after tonight.
 
Flawless performance. It was like a mix of Yaya and Ferna at their best, it had everything.

He was excellent tonight but your point about their midfield shouldn’t be ignored. If I was picking a side for Rodri to play against, Burnley would be right up there. They are terrible, they don’t play through the middle of the park and they have no pace. A perfect storm for Rodri.

Hopefully more of the same from him at the weekend.
 
Take a bow lad because that was pretty fucking special.
