This is the one position that causes all the problems for us. (Apart from maybe LB) Fernandinho is still the best we have as a CM, but age waits for no man and Rodri/Gundogan are not good enough.

This should be the position that dictates the tempo going forward, or protecting the defensive line when defending, but Rodri/Gundogan don’t do either.

As Micah implied, pass completion rate is such a useless stat in Rodri’s case as no passes put Leicester in real danger.

Doesn’t matter which defenders we get as long as this position is a mess. Don’t really know where to go from here with Rodri and Gundo on long contracts.

The team fell apart when Fernandinho was subbed and Rodri was left alone.

The club needed a younger Fernandinho but instead they got Jorginho 2.0

Time to accept he has not worked. Seriously if we could get 30m and play Doyle I would.

Said it during the game when most were blaming the defence, said it afterwards too and apparently Micah said something similar post match, all our defensive problems originate from him. There’s stuff that’s down to him that he can and needs to improve on such as positioning and his distribution which is non-productive to say the least but his biggest problem is his lack of mobility and you simply can’t improve that. we should have seen this coming when we scouted him and you have to blame whoever recommended and signed off the deal for that. we don’t appear to be willing to cut our losses anytime soon and with Gundogan and Fernandinho still around we don’t have the space to get somebody else in so we’re stuck with this problem and there’s zero chance we will regain the title or do anything in the champions league until it’s rectified.
