There are roughly three scenarios for Rodri's absence:

3-4 months: back in January/February
5-6 months: back in March/April
9 months: back Juni/July or next season

Given that there is substantive disagreement between doctors, Rodri and the club are hopeful that he can return to action in 4 to 6 months.

This suggests it's not a clear ACL tear. Might be a combination of other, less severe injuries, e.g. MCL, meniscus, etc.

I don’t understand how two doctors would diagnose an injury differently. Is Rodri being flown around Europe to see top knee surgeons in the hope of one saying he’ll be back in a month?

I like that Pep says safe recovery not speedy recovery. He is thinking of the player. That is the difference between a good manager and a great manager. People management and caring. IMHO

Weird part though is no attempt at a brace or crutches, which would normally mean it’s probably ACL related! Fuck knows, but we will find out today.

The difference of opinions, in my opinion lol, will be what surgery is required - one might be saying repair, one might be saying reconstruction which would have longer recovery period.
