Rodri - The 2024 Ballon d'Or Winner! (Pg 131)

The only times an English league based player has won it they had to be playing for the rags or 'pool to get the award. Hoping (but not expecting) that to change.

It's incredible that only 2 English league based players won a Ballon d'Or in the last 55 years. Guess Keagan might be counted to some extent, too. So about 3 players.

Haaland/Rodri should have won the last one.

Even the UK media, who probably have not seen Vinicious play often, are all doing a PR campaign for him to win it.
Scores a hat-trick outside the eligible voting period, UK media says "Give him the Ballon d'Or!"

when did everyone start giving a shit about this award, its utter bollocks?

i am so glad Pep said he did not care who won it. Its voted by sports writers, whose shortlists never reflect player/coach lists.

I find the endless hype about it really irritating. It means nothing. It’s a team sport. Why are City flying entire planes full of people over for it?!

Championships mean something. Trophies.
So rag players can hitch a ride ;-)
