One player is 5 footing nothing the other is a giant doesnt take a genius to see why pep wants him.
I think Pep rate size as one of our serious needs this summer. And in addition to other qualities, Rodri has height and size in spades. At 6 feet tall, Llorente is no slouch, but he isn't 6'3 like Rodri.
Both are good DMs and Pep can make them better. Rodri has been better the last 2 years (due to opportunity), is younger and has better size.
I rate Llorente's passing, dribbling, vision, closing speed, and ball distribution as better
I rate Rodri's, size, strength, ariel prowess, and calmness as better.
Their tacking is about even. Either would be a fantastic recruit in my opinion.
Under Pep, he'd have probably done well! It was without the ball there was an issue. Its like you are describing Javi Garcia.
Close but wrong Javi. He is more like Javi Martinez at Bayern. Its like you are describing Javi Garcia.

jose Mourinho ?I remember City wanted Javi Martinez but ended up with Javi Garcia.
Anyway, lets hope you are right and Rodri is the next JM and not the next JG.
