There needs to be a rapid return to past form if Phil is going to be in contention for a starting place next season.

Regardless of any 'reasons', Phil's been a passenger virtually all of this season. That can't continue. This is elite level football, not Sunday League.

We'll almost certainly sign two midfielders in the summer, possibly three. Every one that comes in will move Phil further down the pecking order.

We’ll sign 2 there is no pecking line, perform-and he’ll be picked, nothing new or complicated about it.

Nah - not having that Bernardo Foden duo based on the way teams have gone more physical in that area now.

There's always a pecking order. If he doesn't perform, he'll be behind the new signings, simple as that.

The ball is in Phil's court. Perform well in the pre-season tournament, and he'll probably be in. Either way, I don't see any chance of the midfield being built around Phil in the future.

Not O'Reilly. Possibly Kovacic next to Rodri and some more attacking CM. I yhink Foden starts at Right forward, Marmoush left forward and Haaland at Center forward.

3 CMs... One is Rodri, the other is one of Kova/Nico G/ Gundo/ Bernado. And the 3rd is potentially the new AM. Hopefully Wirtz.

That's the vision. Savio and Doku back up Marmoush and Phil. Bobb and Echeveri backup the new AM. And the remaining CMs rotate the 2 CM spots.

A lot of noise coming out of Madrid about us and Rodrygo and it’s from reliable Journalists. If he did leave Madrid it would be for us, he called City the best in team in the world before.
 


Defense central is very reliable for Madrid news up there with Relevo
 
I'm not too fussed about signing this fella, but the links are continuing.

You'd imagine it would spell the end of Doku or Savinho?
