Without taking his ability into consideration (and I'm not totally convinced by him), I don't think it's a position we need to add to at present with Doku, Savinho, Foden, Bobb, Marmoush, Grealish (though possibly leaving), Echeverri, McAtee all for attacking positions.Agreed! Really would be a brilliant signing for us.
We have similar issues at CB with Dias, Gvardiol, Reis, Khusanov, Akanji, Ake, Stones and Bah for 2 positions.
The problem is that we already have too many players. IIRC Echeverri and Reis could not even be included in the CL squad this season. We then have Walker, Philipps and Bah returning from loans and so far only KDB leaving.
A lot need to leave if we wish to give Guardiola the small squad that he wants and that is without others then needing to leave to make room for incoming players. In reality we probably need 10+ to leave (sold or on loan) to bring in 3-4 players and outside of KdB, none of them are out of contract.
It's a bit of an unbalanced mess and it's going to need quite a lot of sorting out. Players can't just be sold/loaned against their will.
We just might not be able to create enough space in the squad for essential signings (CMs and FBs) without adding an attacking player like Rodrygo into the mix, especially when we already have sufficient players of a decent age profile for the position/s he plays.
