Roll call for 9 minute protest

Are you asking how a population can hold two distinct groups? Im not sure how even to answer this question. Racists are prevelant on X and abuse people for anything. There are also people who call them cunts for it.

Feel free to show and single time that racists "have been well recieved" on here. Me and all the mods and owner would love to know where this content is

The lies I've told? What the fuck are you talking about? I literally remember mentioning you once and that was paraphrasing a point you made while actually supporting its legitimacy in a conversation with someone else.

Again, feel free to provide any actual examples of this delusional horseshit.
Jog on mate.

I will leve it here. Bluemooners and campaigners aren’t racist. Many are anti woke and I’ve got a bit of time for that view point. They will call out real racism like decent people do.

The reference to leaving X had nothing to do with racism. More a case of a poster who claimed to be ITK with City was shown up on X and returned to BM claiming everyone on X was a loon.

Anyway, I’ve got 2 tickets for Palace at home that I’m trying to give away for free and I will sort that before I go to work.

Can we leave all the racism bullshit off this thread.

There is absolutely no link whatsoever between racism and the protest.

Again, it’s a poor attempt at demonising fans’ very proportionate grievances towards the club’s ticketing policy.

All of this success and investment may as well not exist if we cannot afford to actually go to it.
Thr value of an owner, whether they're good or bad, is not based on success. It's based on whether or not they listen to the fans and their concerns. Which is why you can have great skint owners or billionaire crap ones. Competency at running the club is important but not the only metric.
I didn't say it was the only metric mate and listening to fans is not and never will be their (or any elite club owner) most important criteria in running a football club much though we might like it to be.

For me, the owners should be assessed against a number of criteria; success on the pitch, financial stability, keeping the club compliant, managing risk, contribution to the local and wider community, upholding the historical values of the club, running the club in the interests of the fanbase (current and future), being a great employer.

There are probably more. All of them important albeit different folk would weight them differently.
They are doing pretty well for most of those. They are letting themselves down with ticketing and are rightly being criticised for that. Hopefully they will listen.

This is a baffling response. I have literally no idea what you were referring to in the "lies" thing and now have even less of an idea with you saying people on Bluemoon aren't racist, as if thats somehow I thing I argued against.
When you say a reference to leaving X, I dont even know what that means either. We're not talking about anybody leaving X.
Again this is just a mental reply chain. Are you confusing me for someone else because youre talking about things said and referenced which I have absolutely no idea what youre talking about.

Do you think Ric is an antisemite? You were a mod for about a decade. You know how this works. All decisions are ultimately his.
I don't think Ric knows what antisemitism is. That's the problem. I've reported posts that are in clear breach of the IHRA definition and nothing has been done. There are posters whose motivation is clearly antisemitic, who are still posting regularly. He'll say "I can't see where the antisemitism is there".

Again, you've been in this position so you know how this works. Reports go in, people give their views then Ric will back the decision, change the decision, dismiss the report or usually if no decision was made, will make his own decision.
And in that process, we get different interpretations of the same text.
You know the score, if you keep reporting then the same people keep coming on the radar and those people who are constantly on the edge of the line build up a pattern to where others can see who might not be as involved in the discussion.
Im giving the team the benefit of the doubt here and presuming these are subjective issues rather than the Death to Jews shit. As a laissez-faire moderation policy, the subtle or defensible will always require a pattern rather than the overt and direct. That's just the trade off. Tbh we get almost no reports from the Politics Forum, or at least in proportion to the amount of inflammatory stuff. I'll tell you what you would have told someone when you were a mod, if you see it report it. But if you can help establish a pattern that isn't an obvious personal vendetta then it will be actioned.
You know everyone on this team, we're your friends and you've been in our position. You know there's no bad faith going on behind the scenes no matter how front foot me and one or two others might be in open. Ric would be mortified to think that there's ANY racists on here let alone a culture of it, he'd probably prefer to shut the entire place down.

Our two biggest rivals, who happen to be the two biggest clubs in the region, the country and two of the biggest clubs in the world, they have had excellent pricing or excellent ticketing ideas for years.

The equivalent seat that I have at the Etihad is cheaper at Anfield and Old Trafford.

United froze their season ticket prices for ten straight years. And they’ve had excellent cheap prices for PL games for juniors for a long time (comparable to what we charge kids for early rounds of the FA and EFL Cups). These were the prices they announced at the start of this season.

Liverpool have also had excellent top end prices and ticketing ideas for years.

Liverpool’s most expensive non-hospitality season ticket is cheaper than mine, and my ST isn’t even the most expensive non-hospitality ST at City.

Their most expensive general admission tickets are capped at £61 which is what the prices start at for some games at the Etihad (it’s been £61-88 for adults against the ‘Big Six’ this season at City!). There are tickets available for adults for as low as £9 at Anfield. They also have £9 tickets for Juniors in all stands apart from the new Anfield Road second tier for all PL games.

Liverpool also have an initiative where their non-season ticket holding members get priority on home tickets at Anfield before others (so they wouldn’t have a situation like we did against Madrid in the 2023 CL semi):

And those £9 adult tickets they have are only available to local fans:

£9 and £13 for juniors at Liverpool and United… for games against the ‘Big Six’ this season at the Etihad junior tickets have been £42-58!

If those two sets of cunts can do things like this, City really aren’t doing this right.

You’ve priced out our kids, you’ve priced out our kiiids, oh Man City, you’ve priced out our kids!
Kids tickets 100% have to be cheaper

Some of the campaign leaders have issued a statement on X saying they want nothing to do with a few scumbags trying to hijack this with their xenophobia. Bravo.

Thousands of Blues have come out in support of the targeted Blue.

Come on City (Directors) do the decent thing. Affordable tickets for working class Blues.

A friend watched on an American stream and said they explained the protest and showed just how much the ground filled up after nine minutes. I missed the first two minutes then thought "fuck this" when I missed the first goal and went to my seat.
Thousands of empty seats at kick-off should send a sufficiently loud message.
It doesn’t take much for some people to fold. The stupidity of running to your seat AFTER the goal should applauded.

If theres that much wrong with the Club why the fuck do you support them. ?
By the way it isn`t City who are censuring City fans for tragedy chanting its now an illegal act.
And not just an illegal one, it is disgusting for tragedy chants. It's 2025 and the sound of Munich still appears, from many younger fans. They all need their heads wobbling. Not on.

Hopefully the protest has helped City Matters fans reps to make progress. It was a great show of strength of feeling on Wednesday night. Credit to the organisers and everyone who took part.

Just a couple of other observations based on reading posts on here and X yesterday. Some of the Blues calling for another protest straightaway weren’t able to change their plans to go to the game and protest on Wednesday. Each to their own but I think we need to get the gist of what happened at City Matters (NDAs or not) first.

A young City fan was racially abused on X yesterday by a “regular legacy fan”. If the perpetrator come on here, just call them a FKW like you would if the target wasn’t Asian.

Affordable football for all City fans regardless of where they are from, it could be argued that the club have no issue in exploiting overseas fans with ludicrous prices, and prioritising them because they pay more and spend more. It's brilliant people want to come and watch City from everywhere, but also treat those the same as local fans, with regard to cost and priority. I would sooner see City's turnover drop by 10 million or whatever and have stands full of Blues local and global who can all afford and want to be part of the City family, but the most important thing is, is that they are actually Blues and not Irish Liverpool fans etc

Younger fans? In my experience it’s older ones who haven’t let it go that are the problem.

And let’s be honest it’s a very tiny barely audible minority. Also when it is actually referenced in very few songs, and the songs aren’t actually about the disaster, it’s a moniker used for the rags.

To clarify I don’t sing them or use the term.

They are indirectly. The owner appoints the CEO, Chairman and officials.

City fans are unhappy , not with Pep / team, but what point is a successful team if you cannot support them?

How you define your protest matters. It's not simply enough to protest. Take unemployment or any social problem, there's usually a range of responses. Perhaps City fans will win here but we'd be better off if we drop this hierarchy of City fandom. City's fanbase has grown massively beyond the traditional group and this is a positive. This is in danger of being chocked off by a media onslaught that has identified City with cheating, and also by the lack of understanding in our own fanbase of who is supporting City. Many traditional fans see tourists everywhere and blame them for the lack of atmosphere, the availability of seats etc. Tourists exist but there's also a large number of fans coming to City who have just started coming, and they won't for much longer if this 'core fans' vs tourist argument is sustained. It's also true that the demographics of football is changing. Many of the Londo clubs now are completely gentrified. It's starting to happen here too. But is that a problem. It's not true that only working class youth can create an atmosphere. See clubs in Switzerland or Germany. Atmosphere is a state of mind.
You’ve no idea what you’re on about
