It's none of my business really, but a CP protest should be pre-arranged, imho. It can always be cancelled on Friday. It's easier than keep things going than start the, stop them, start them again.
And I really think CM need to put their foot down on the release of information, at least on these issue and in respect of the issues discussed and conclusions. Nobody needs all the details ....
We're all free to discuss ideas here I'm sure, it's good that Blues are taking it seriously enough to think about ways these actions can be improved/made more effective. I think we're all still fighting the stereotype (I don't know if it just exists on this forum or in our heads) that City fans don't like to whinge about anything and just get on with it - which doesn't fit with what I've been told by older Berts about how active we were the 80s/90s! My father was delighted to take part in the East Stand, said he felt closer to City in that moment than he had in years, a feeling that was maybe linked to his involvement in Swales Out organising!
Well said about CM needing to put a foot down. I think the club makes these meetings as intimidating as possible, and we have to bear in mind that unlike most other Fan Advisory Boards in the country, City Matters is mostly made up of individual reps who don't represent a group, and may not be as experienced in representing supporters. Of course we have the great guys at the Disabled Supporters Association, Canal St Blues, and the OSC represented, who have many years of existence, but otherwise the majority of reps haven't got that weight behind them.
I saw one of the CM minutes this season showed there were TWENTY-THREE club staff in the meeting, to 10 City fan reps! Other clubs don't have anywhere near this many staff in Fan Advisory Board meetings. Not one club outnumbers their fan reps, apart from us. Feels like an intimidation tactic, so I have massive respect for the CM reps who've stuck up for fans this season in an environment like that.
On minutes, the club says it has 10 days to release minutes, but they regularly break their own rule here and I'm sure they've taken weeks (if not months) to release these before. As a previous poster indicated, it isn't hard to believe that they do this to try and wind the clock down and hope supporters forget about issues. I heard a Spurs supporter speaking on Twitter last week that they got the club to agree to a 48hr deadline years ago and let their FAB publish them themselves. Our FAB are so far away from that. As mentioned in a previous post, Alex Howell wrote a governance paper on this exact issue last year and the club have kicked it into touch. I can't see anything changing as the club don't want it to.
