The one we're in is called The Smart hotel, near the Termini. Just need to find a decent, and safe place to drink now!

Get over the river to the Trastevere district. It's full of bars and restaurants, and they're not usually rip-off joints. It's also a really beautiful area, and easy to get to by bus (or walking).

Around Termini station there are also loads of places, but it's a bit seedy and probably a bit dodgy at night.

Campo de Fiori is also a great place to hang out. Loads of Irish bars, if that's your cup of tea!!!!!! It's where the Spuds fans got attacked last year, though. Great open-air market until lunchtime.
