I get more and more pissed off with this transfer every game the Saints play.
Made up for the kid though.

Think we simply have to allow the pleasure of his success to outweigh any bitterness. It’s a real joy to see people flourish even if it’s not with us (yet); apropos, Douglas Luiz is today linked with a move to Juventus.I get more and more pissed off with this transfer every game the Saints play.

Agree he's been one of their best players so far.The goal will get him attention but he’s been one of the best players on the pitch vs Chelsea and United and Leicester.
This transfer might make Pep look a bit silly for not realising he’s ready, which will be great for future academy players if he pays attention.
He gets games and if he shows he's up to it, we use our buy back option. Good deal all round.I get more and more pissed off with this transfer every game the Saints play.

It's a shame Phillips has taken up all his minutes so far.I get more and more pissed off with this transfer every game the Saints play.

Pretty sure he will if we want him.If he wants to come back
but you don't know for sure, all I'm saying is that it isn't a given that a buyback option is a guaranteed return.Pretty sure he will if we want him.
No, I don't know for sure but I would imagine most players would prefer to be at City. He probably wouldn't have developed without the transfer anyway.but you don't know for sure, all I'm saying is that it isn't a given that a buyback option is a guaranteed return.
I obviously hope he does as I didn't want him to go in the first place.
Zinchenko, Sterling and Jesus tell me different. No, I don't know for sure but I would imagine most players would prefer to be at City. He probably wouldn't have developed without the transfer anyway.
They were all international players who wanted more game time. Lavia wouldn't have got that here at this stage. Better to show he's up to it and then we bring back an experienced/proven player in a year or two. The right move iMO.Zinchenko, Sterling and Jesus tell me different.
He would develop if he was playing, there was no need to buy Phillips IMO, an opinion I know fucker gives a shit about but there you go :)
Tbf, all three spent 5+ years at City and won. That's an eternity in football.Zinchenko, Sterling and Jesus tell me different.

Philipps hasn't even taken up Roque Santa Cruz's minutesIt's a shame Phillips has taken up all his minutes so far.
Giving it a good go though :)Philipps hasn't even taken up Roque Santa Cruz's minutes
He's very good but now and again gives the ball away quite badly, case in point when he was injured recovering back tonight. Guessing city thought he was almost but not quite ready for anything more than bit parts. He has played well so far but its been 4 games. He will still make mistakes and when he does he needs to carry on playing. He would never get that here. Keeping him would have been wrong for him and hence for us
