Ronaldo wants back in the Premiership..

United just couldn't afford him.

They may even have a first option, but couldn't even get close to a transfer fee, never mind a commitment to best part of £300k a week for next four-five years.

It's a £150m-plus investment.

No sell on value, either.

He either stays at Madrid (most likely) or will come to us.

I'd throw in Adebayor and Tevez, get the price down to £50m.

Suppose United could throw in Cleverley and Evans, get the price down to £90m!

LOL good one

If Ronaldo wants to join us then I'm prepared to forgive his rag connections, it's not like he is a player motivated by money but the project.

Does anyone know more about Umbro and Nike's connection? could Nike help us fund the deal is it's beneficial to them?

IMO he will never join us, he loves the evil empire too much so even if we did match his wages and fee I personally believe he would snub us. As for the rags depends on what happens this season if we were to win the prem then Shakin Bacon would buy him just to try to get the title back, if they win it without him I suspect not.

Could be wrong seen the Tolmie thread but I ain't holding my breath on this one.

When he was in United he had a bad goal-ratio against us, so dont know how big a problem it would be.

Doubt he would come here but if he is planning to move we'd be stupid not to try.

I don't see it happening ever truth be told, but of course I would want him here.

Anyone that says no needs to see a specialist.

Funny that, no direct quotes - bullshit story. People are quick to dismiss such stories when one of our lads is involved, when there is an outside possibility of one of the worlds top players coming here it must be true.
