Roninho return (merged)

Joey Barton?

Yes, even Joey Barton. Although it would be difficult but no more difficult than supporting Cross, Charvet and all the other rubbish we have bought over the years. I know others will disagree but that is my personal opinion only.

If Mancini manages this club for another twenty years, he will never make a bigger mistake than benching Robinho in favour of Bellamy. There was no way Robinho was going to stick around watching an average journeyman pro with dodgy knees take his place in the team in a World Cup year, and took the correct decision to get some game time under his belt elsewhere.

Well I've heard it all now.....the poor downtrodden, misunderstood little soldier...how dare that nasty Mancini stop the poor lamb getting the chance to play in the World Cup,and how dare he play a bloke in front of him who actually wants to wear the shirt and gives a shit about the club, aswell as being a damn good player to boot....??

Robinho only cares about Robinho...my point is with his skill he could quite easily have made Mancini take note..he just couldn't be arsed to apply himself, too much trouble-so he legged it.This is the thing with him-it's always someone else's fault...

Robinho had done nothing in the months previous to him leaving to prove he wanted to play for us-the constant sniping and touting himself in the press, the disinterested body language...he was becoming a liability-of his own making.

Do you really think that a fit and firing, motivated Robinho would've been dropped in favour of Bellamy?Never!
But the facts are that a "journeyman with dodgy knees" could quite easily keep him out of the team-a decision that both Hughes and Mancini both took, and one I agree with 100%.

Robinho has to look at himself-all the skill but a heart the size of a pea.Can he change?I doubt it.
Comes across as someone who will go through his career being "nearly the best" simply because he can't be arsed to apply himself and knuckle down when it really matters.
And it will be someone elses fault,be it Hughes,Mancini,Madrid, whoever ....always.

Excellent post mate :)

Not read the whole thread, I've read Robinho quoted in two different papers today, saying he's happy to come back to City and he's happy to go to Turkey, he also wants to stay at Santos.
This guy is so immature that you only rely on him as much as you would a child and that is the problem with Robinho.
Get in that Super Nanny and sort the thumb sucking fucker out once and for all!

I don't really care either way with Robinho, lets face it there is no loyalty in football whatsoever and Robinho has been the same all his career, he says what he needs to say to get people on his side wherever he is playing, he did it at Madrid, did it at City, then said he wanted to join Santos permanently now he'd be happy to come back to City or go to Barcelona, Madrid or practically any other top team in the world!!!

and the end of the day though he is a top class player who COULD do big things for us, I know he doesn't give a damn about us and I don't give a damn about him but if he could do the business on the pitch that would be good enough for me!

I personally think the guy is a disgrace, the way he has disrespected the club continually and runs his mouth in the media is unbelievable.

On a side note, does anybody know if there's any truth in Robinho buying robbie savage's house?

Maybe he's staying because were getting Ganso or Neymar? Both are young, we have right of first refusal on them, they play for Santos with Robinho and are great friends. Maybe not Neymar because we don't really need any more forwards but Ganso could be good. Just speculatin'

Hope he has a great world cup and comes back to City.

He's a controversial fella and we knew that when we signed him.

I think i have been harsh with some of my comments about him but if he wants to come back and give his all for us then let it be because hes a special player and i cant wait to watch him in WC

I've thought long and hard about it, and I would have him back, but 'only' if he really wants to make ago of it. If he just wants to come back to go through the montions once again and to run down his contract, I would rather we sell him after a successful World Cup and get as much money as we can for him, and use that money to buy one or two more 'world class' players instead.
