Well he's not wrong. Champions elect at home against the relegation threatened team with the worst away record in the Prem that year and somehow we contrived to oh so nearly fuck it right up.

I am interested to see him again as a pundit. He was on MNF not so long ago and gave a different type of approach.

I really hate the easy press / comedians route of having a go at his (and Beckham's for that matter) intelligence when that's not what they are good at or indeed pretend to be good at.

It's almost like having a pop at Stephen Hawking because he was shit at stepovers.

Rooney, like or loathe, was an exceptional talent and I feel should be judged on that rather than all the other stuff.

Obviously I had murderous intent at points but credit where it is due.

Tin hat, fortunately I am off to the land of nod shortly so I will await brickbats upon my return.

So you agree that him and Beckham are recognised as being thick as pigshit but can't see why he shouldn't be a pundit to deliver expert opinion and insight to the world Cup. Him and Sue Barker would be TV gold as he tries to mount her at half time
