I was told on Friday that Rooney had been dropped for the Everton game. The same person told me that he is not signing extension to contract and that City have offered £400k a week to sign next summer.

Can i have my Bong back please ?

Yes you can Corky I've finished with it now. ;)

It's curious that Sky and the BBC are seemingly keeping their distance from the story...

I can't think of a more controversial transfer, should it go through. The only one I can think of is Figo from Barca to Madrid. I wonder if the united fans are currently stocking up on pigs' heads?!
I really hope it happens, for loads of different reasons, no more so than hearing the gutted reaction of uniteds fans. It would be a massive, massive transfer if it happened.

Best result her is that Rooney stays at Rags for 18 months hacked off / out of form and leaves to real madrid on a free.

Rags debt even bigger

They don't know which side to edge their bets, mate.

Difference is, the original source for the story couldn't have received a better tip.

My own take, there is meddling going on, a degree of posturing, and realisation on boths sides that the previously unthinkable, could at very least, be considered.

It may have already gone too far, however, I still recall Rio being in a similar situation a couple years back, when he was theatening to leave during contract talks.

Nothing would surprise me, even United announcing a new deal later this week.

If there is the slightest degree of encouragement, he will be a City player.

A bit like Tevez, he doesn't give a fook at the end of the day, with regards sensitivities.

People have been going on about a transfer that will shake the football world since we got the takeover. It could have been Kaka but that didn't happen. Make no mistake about it, there isn't a single football fans jaw in the world that wouldn't hit the deck if rooney was to come to Manchester

Love it!

Whereas I always rated Tevez and was thrilled he signed for us, I have always thought Rooney is over-rated, and I wouldn't put him in our current first 11 if he were here now.

Hope we don't sign him.
