Arsenal have actually offered more than Chelsea at present.

That will tell you Chelsea know they have it boxed off.

Chelsea have bid £20m - Arsenal £22m.

Chelsea are in a very strong position to play this out to maximum advantage in terms of impacting a direct rival.

Chelsea can take it nice and easy.

I posted in the Bale thread yesterday that Chelsea and Arsenal have both bid for Rooney, only I was told an initial £28m bid was rejected and that both clubs have bid a little more 2nd time around.

Utd are rejecting bids of £28m+ for a £20m player but are bidding £25m for a player valued at £35m??

Can you imagine if that had been one of our superstars coming straight back home on the next flight

Aguero,silva,ya ya fly home with hamstring injury.
