Well Rooney is older, fatter, balder, slower and scores and assists less....but,
He earns twice as much money...
The real winners here are Rooney,Cleen & the agent and old manc based grannies.
I don't think anyone truly thinks Rooney is average. He is still England's best player. He is a a fantastic striker and world class, but he is not even in the top 5 strikers in the world let alone top 5 players. With RVP likely to be off, keeping Rooney is important though for the stature of the club. Foreign players will rate him higher than he is.Markt85 said:As a neutral, he's a very good player but no where in the bracket of world class like Ronaldo or Messi. It's foolish to write him off though, he's goal record speaks for himself and he's work rate is phenomenal. Man U and the media have overhyped this contract extension and just papering over the cracks of a very bad season. But calling Rooney 'shit', 'average' etc are seeing that purely from a anti Man U view.
On current form it can be argued that Sturridge and Cahill are better.supercrystal7 said:I don't think anyone truly thinks Rooney is average. He is still England's best player.
