Ross Barkley

He doesn't have a enough brains..his football I.q is very poor ..his vision for distributing is poor..great shot on him..he isn't shy which is good for a young player..but all in all it's standard English hype 20 is not so young anymore..there are players at his age range who have a stronger football brain ..Christian eriksen is 21 with a much superior brain ,Mario gotze, Oscar just turned 22 and he's shown much more potential since his first season with Chelsea..Julian drexler in Schalke aged 20 ,Alvaro Castillo from real betis age 19 ,Paul pogba at 20...this is just a short list of players in the Ross Barkley age group for the most part who are all superior to Barkley..he is not special ..at least not yet he is got so much work to do to be in the class of the players I mentioned..he is hyped up and maybe he will lead England someday...to more years of mediocrity

coming to us. Jan deal with immediate loan back. It's done

Nice try but we can't loan two players to the same club

Oh but what if we sell for a nominal fee/release Barry in January ;)

Then he'll get to play against us at Goodison and we'll most surely lose :p

What a crock of shite this post is. If you had watched any of his recent games you would see that is vision and distribution is exceptional for a player of his age. It's one of the things I have been pleasantly surprised with this season. There is hype of course, but what else would you expect from the english media? I'm Irish by the way, so there is no bias in my view. He will flourish under Martinez, and English fans are lucky that it is him in charge of his development and not Moyes. Look how Everton's midfield has improved since he replaced Fellaini, and we know how much United paid for Fellaini!

They improved because they have a new manager that found a great balance between defense and attack don't pretend Everton went to the next level because of ross Barkley he has 0 assists and he doesn't have great vision..yes I've watched him a lot this season because he was on my fantasy team.. To often he has his forwards making a run in the box and he doesn't give it up because he holds on the ball too long which he often does trying to do stupid dribbles and nutmegs through a wall of defenders while he has open attackers in the box ..he can't hold a candle to any of the players I mentioned in his age group I actually watch other leagues I've seen much better players in his age range

so you have the hump with him because he doesn't get you points on fantasy football, good one. i've seen more than enough of him this season to suggest he is going to be a very very good player. I've been more impressed with him this season than I have of Draxler for example. He has scored 3 goals in the premier league from midfield in what is his break through season. He has put many players through and started attacking moves from deft back heels etc, which shows he ahs vision of what is going on around him. You are downplaying his influence in an Everton team that has worked its way to a couple of points of the top of the Premier League, where he plays in an integral position. He may have no assists this season, but they will come. Another plus is his size, if his progression continues in this upward trajectory, then he will develop in to an absolute beast of a midfielder.

I brought up fantasy because any player I have in my fantasy player I watched closely..I never said he won't be good he will be ..but he's nothing special right now ..there's more impressive youngsters out there with a better feel for the game ..when Barkley stops these stupid nutmegs into walls and ignores his teammates in space maybe then I will see his qualities right now I just don't..is he good yes..will he be great ..I don't think so
