It doesn't make sense to see the price of Barkley is higher than the price of Vidal !
He's English.

and a better player, younger too.

Not even close. Barkley has potential, however that's all it is atm. He still has far too many things to improve on to say that he'll fit into the team seamlessly.

The only reason why his price is so high is because of his potential and because he's English. Make no mistake, if we're judging him on the player that he is today, he isn't worth half that amount.

For the price being bandied around, you could probably purchase Vidal or Koke. That's how ridiculous it is.

that's the pressure we are under though. thanks to platini we have to pay over the odds for every English player going. we have to keep home growm players even if they are not up to standard. rodwell, micah, Sinclair etc sadly wouldn't get a game in our team but are forced to play them at times due to ffp. but there's no agenda.

of all the English talent out there, and that's not much, barkley is head and shoulders the best.

Garcia (i can hop quicker), Rodwell (sicknote), Richards (too big now), sinclair (fuckin panzy), Boyata (move over for Denayer), Guidetti (TOO MANY PIES), Milner (weve moved up in class, good allrounder though).. I dont care if we offer this lot to the wasp chewin cunts!...get this boy signed.

I cant see us getting Barkley this summer, cant see him getting a solid place in our 11 with Yaya probably going to stay. Cant see PSG offering much or nothing at all with them spending so much on Luiz and Di Maria...

Morning people.

After a bunch of you decided to engage in a spot of ribbing due to my posts about young Ross, I thought I'd point out what the MEN are reporting. I'm not sure how much you lot trust your local media (personally, we don't usually like the Echo cause it tends to be tinted red) but:

"City have already put out feelers about 20-year-old England ace Barkley, but Everton quoted an outrageous price.

"With a transfer spending cap of £49million imposed by UEFA as part of their punishment for breaching financial fair play rules, City cannot afford to buy the Scouser unless they raise funds through player sales.

As I said, we won't be letting him go for less than £50m. You could probably expect to see him go for more that that, if he does go, as he's only going to improve in ability (and thus value) as time goes on.

In the Echo now, they will all be biting their nails.
