Rossi could go for as little as £12m

2 cruciates in a year , he'll never be the same player

Possibly so. Such a shame... what a brilliant player he was before the injuries, an absolute joy to watch.

Yeah it really is horrible, wouldn't wish that on anyone.

My bad. No I don't think he's better than Tevez... so third best is more correct.
For us, considering how we play I think Rossi is a better option than Edin. He's very quick, exceptional in crowded spaces and a very lethal finisher. Like Suarez at Liverpool only a class better.
I think very highly of Edin by the way, so much I actually kind of want him to sign for Bayern or AC Milan where he probably would fit better in. He deserves to play week in and week out.

Out of curiosity: what happened to make you think he's (Giuseppe) a cnut? I always took him for a a down-to-earth kind of guy, a team-player who gave his all on the pitch. But that's just the impression I was under and I could be wrong.

Yeah, I wish Edin got more time somewhere he fits the style of play better.

And I'm an American, so I'll never forgive Rossi for turning his back on us. He had the chance to be one of the greatest American footballers of all time and help a US team that is starting to turn things around with players like Dempsey, Donovan, Bradley, and Jermaine Jones etc.

If your not from the States, I'd understand liking him. It's just become personal for me.

This all day, he's a traitor.
The only reason I could cheer on Italy in the Euros was because he was sitting at home. If he's back for the World Cup, it's back to Anyone But Italy for me.

Perhaps you should watch an interview of the lad... English is his first language and he oft gives interviews with a thick Jersey accent. Rossi was also in contention for a spot amongst their team but he simply couldn't wait. He is another Rag who thought playing in the reserves for Man Utd took precedent over all.

As a player he is an injury nightmare. Decent finisher, mediocre link up play but he's best suited at the level he's at.

What team Parma?[/quote]

No cheeky slag, USA. When he made his decision he barely had any professional appearances under his belt. He then went on to play a game o cat and mouse. He is a the type of player no national team player should want. He has no true allegiances.

No established 1st team striker is going to come here unless they have a good chance of playing, and why would we be in the market for a striker anyway?

I think most of us believe one or possibly two strikers will leave us this summer.
He is now a part of a relegated team playing in Liga Adelante, for a team with serious financial problems and no future to speak of.
He knows it will take him maybe a year to reach his old form, if possible at all, so I reckon he'd be very interested in coming here to play in th3e best league in the world, make good money, to get the best possible help with his come back work, to play in Europe and to prove some people in England wrong.

Now I'm not sure about his injury, where he's at right now rehab-wise (I recall him being ready to play again early 2013), but if he is ready soon to get back to hard work in training I'd take him in a heartbeat. He'll be cheap, probably around £10m, won't ask for outrageous wages, and if we are lucky and he gets back to his prime, we have another one of Europe's best strikers at our disposal.

He was a given starter for Italy's national side before the injury I think and was considered the best striker in Spain behind Messi, Aguero and Ronaldo 2010/2011, scoring over 32 goals and 10 assists in all competitions that season.

He speaks English, Spanish and Italian fluently so he would be very useful for communication as well.

No... I'm not his desperate agent, I just really really like the kid and hopes he comes back to his best, for which ever team that might happen to be.

We have 4 top strikers. I agree Rossi was a very good player, but no better than any of our 4. Why do you want to change one of the best forward line ups in Europe?

As I said above Marvin, I only feel we need a new striker in case one of our current four starters leave. Most likely to disappear seems to be Tevez, and if so we'll have three top strikers who all wants to, and expects to, start regularly. A fourth one who accepts he is not guaranteed starts would be all we need I think. That could be a youngster like Guidetti, or an experienced prolific striker who is prepared to wait a while for his chance. Rossi fits the bill for me.

Look man its obvious you haven't researched this topic at all and just like other USA fans slag him off because he dared go against the country that he was born in.

Facts:
He grew up in a predominantly Italian neighborhood in New Jersey. He grew up watching the Azzuri with his father and dreamed of playing for them.

He had a chance to join the New York Red Bulls youth program. He turned them down because he wanted a move abroad to further his dream of playing for Italy.

He moved to Italy with his father when he was 12 to join Parma. He began to appear for Italy at the U-16 level. He never ever ever ever once told the United States he was going to play for them unlike Subotic(a real traitor) who used the United States youth program to progress his skills and then left us when he had a fight with a youth team coach.

ROSSI IS NOT A TRAITOR. HE NEVER WAS GOING TO PLAY FOR THE USA, and NEVER TOLD ANYONE HE WAS.

Finish this off with a Quote from Bruce Arena from 2005 after he invited Rossi to join America for a friendly in Scotland. Which Rossi turned down " "But it was pretty clear his dream was to play for Italy. He didn't mislead us for a second." Really sounds like some traitor to me.
