Rotherham (FA Cup) Post Match Thread

Very good professional performance, however not impressed with Mahrez.
He had a face like a slapped arse most of the game and didn't look interested.
Surely we should be expecting more of a record signing now 6 months in?
Is it a special talent to find something to moan about after a 7 goal win?

He's had 2 years here now. I see no improvement in his game, if anything hes going backwards. I couldn't give a fk about harry kane , saurez etc. They dont play for city, gabby does and he's not cutting the mustard.
He’s developed physically and has very much improved his ability to win the ball or keep the ball through his increased strength, he’s always making good runs.

He’s not kicked on massively and he might never do so but he’s a young lad and my point about all those other strikers is pertinent because, like I said, of all the world’s top strikers of the last 10-15 years only Higuain and Rooney were at the top level playing for a top side and only Benzema and Kun were playing so well that top clubs wanted to sign them. All the others developed between the ages of 22-24.

Also Jesus has stated that the World Cup has knocked his confidence:
“That elimination of ours was a blow for all of us, especially for me.

“I went to the World Cup as a key player and I ended up not scoring. It affects you.

“I was scarred by that. People will always remember Gabriel who did not score in the World Cup.”

At 21 with the weight of the Brazil nation on you and Brazil playing as a bunch of individuals and Neymar and Coutinho greedily taking shots from outside the box and ignoring that Gabriel was on the pitch has not got out of his system yet.

Give him time.

21 is not an age for a #9 to have the expectation City and Brazil have on him unless you’re already a wonder kid.

Good win against pretty ordinary opposition, who looked a lot worse than just a Championship side tbh. Good to see Kev back and pinging those dangerous crosses in, as opposed to our recent aimless cross habit. Gundogan found his level, absolutely bossing it against a side who didn't seem fit enough to get near him, while Raz also looked levels beyond them. Jesus is hilariously out of nick, but he keeps playing and keeps making the right moves, it's just a matter of time.

Come on his crossing and distribution was woeful.
Lakey was saying what I was thinking on commentary.
Good win but he wasn't good.
Matt, just that I can bring to mind you have had pops at Jesus, Mahrez, Sterling and Sergio in the last fortnight, and from memory completely written off our PL chances. Just saying
