Somewhere in those comments he's got a point but from my own point of view, as frustrating as some of our recent performances have been, I don't watch City just for the football. It's more than that to me - the camaraderie, meeting up with mates, etc - and if we as fans applied Keane's logic literally many of us would've jacked it in years ago because back then we were utterly shite. Funnily enough, I thought Tuesday night was one of the more enjoyable Champions League home games I've attended even if the display on the pitch wasn't all that. The atmosphere was one of the best we've had at a CL home game with both 114/115/116 and the 110/111 corner going at it most of the match. I think having that buffer of a 3-1 first leg advantage helped the nerves of a lot of fans and most of the people in those 2 sections I mentioned had a party regardless of the display.
I'll also add that despite the performance at home to Kiev, it could well be that it wasn't a case of the players not trying as Keane suggested, but that they simply struggled to get on top of a Kiev side that looked more useful than they did in the first leg. There's a big difference between not trying and not playing well.
