Trump presumably gets paid a salary and lives in the White House for 4 years, he doesnt get 5 Palaces with hundreds of rooms and acres, his extended family dont get paid or have an expense account, he also had to win an election, these lot just get born into a lifetime of luxury and opulence and you have to bow to them (if your a patriot).

He does however get a salary for life plus bodyguards.

maybe give Trump 60 years in the WH and he would amass the trappings that you write about. Trumps family are all part of the government so do get paid by the state - or do you think the daughter and son in law are doing it as charity work? Bet they have an expense account each too. Oh and if you want to talk abut bowing and deference and patriotism then the US is your place - if you don't think the sun shines out of the arse of whoever is President then your love of your country is definitely called into question.

Im talking about his extended family, yes his daughter and SIL get paid as they have actual jobs, does his sister or uncle get paid if they dont have a job? Besides Trump made his money, was he born with a title of President like the Royals with their uniforms and titles.

As far as deference to the President within the USA you couldnt be more wrong, half the country hates him and voices their opinion daily, Ive just returned from the USA, I even saw a fictitious TV show called The Good Fight on mainstream TV where they make Trump out to be a criminal and having committed treason so therefore should be impeached.

There are many reasons to oppose a monarchy, but cost isn't one of them. The American Presidency is thought to cost billions a year, the monarchy is a fraction of that. Hell, the French Presidency costs three times what the monarchy here does.

Because you'd need it for any Head of State, and to a greater level in most instances, i.e. that French President. There's no two ways about it, it's pretty cheap compared to any similar country. Which doesn't mean people should approve of the whole idea, just that cost isn't the best angle of attack, particularly given the monarchy is unusual in offsetting its costs through being a tourist attraction. The French or Italian President is not.

There are better arguments against monarchy, basically.

He inherited it off daddy then proceeded to lose a big chunk of it.
