Great signing.

Hughes knows how he ticks and he is exactly what we need, and will be up to speed with the premiership.

I think it is pointless pursuing the likes of Etoo that wouldnt want to join us at this time - or if he did it would be for financial reasons. The RSC deal will be done and dusted this week, allowing Hughes to concentrate on other areas of the team

Tevez RSC Bellamy Robinho is a great front 4 to choose from.

you ought to change your name you optimistic fukker.

Re: RSC is signing today

It may happen but if they've only just started the medical it will be another twelve months till that's done.
MH would be out of his mind to buy this crock unless 84 medical experts have inspected the guy with all scanners known to man and given written (I'll put my house up to prove it) guarantees that he's not finished.
Thought Bellamy was that lesson learnt but maybe 3rd time lucky.
Still think it's about as likely as Susan Boyle catching VD!

Re: RSC is signing today

Hughes has already signed one striker who has a record for injuries in Bellamy now RSC we might has well open our own hospital. We can do bettter than that. 6m tops I would pay.

Jo looked at least as good as Crocky santa cruz in his time at Everton.

Disagree. When RSC is fit he is a top player. When he played against the rags at OT this season my rag mates said he was awesome and the best player on the pitch.

Re: RSC is signing today

What will happen to the Boj? I want to see what he can do with a good run of games.

Re: RSC is signing today

Very similar to the pre-Bellamy signing thread this, all an sundry slagging him off, yet when he signed he changed alot of peoples opinions. Yes, I know he is injured again but we are slowly putting together a squad. There is no point in just building a team full of stars and then sit them on the bench as they wont be happy! ala Tevez at scum.

I work with a few BRFC season ticket holders and they have nothing but praise for Santa Cruz although feel he has been slinging the lead since Fat Sam wouldnt let him join up with Hughes. He surely knows the way to get the best out of RSC so lets wait and see FIRST before slating him.

Lets not pre-judge until they are performing (or not!) in the City shirt, as it could well blow up in our faces.

We don't even play in a style that will get the best out of someone like RSC. We never put crosses into the box and the only decent crosser of a ball that we have (Petrov) will either be a backup player or sold. In his one-hit wonder season, nearly every goal RSC scored was with his head, but we wont give him this type of service. This idea that we need a bustling target man for the lone striker role is complete bollocks. We don't. We need a striker with pace, movement, a good first touch, and clinical finishing. Look at some of the top strikers in the world.... Torres plays upfront on his own for Liverpool. Is he a target man? No. Villa does for Valencia quite a lot. Is he a target man? No. When Anelka was on fire at the start of last season in Drogba's absence, he was upfront on his own. Is Anelka a target man? No. Eto'o has played the lone striker role for years and scored tons of goals. Is he a target man? No. We don't need a target man and we certainly don't need Santa Cruz. It is the modern way to play without target men now. The days of getting to the by-line and whipping in crosses for an 8ft bean pole are long gone, unless you are a team like Wigan or Blackburn. Playing in a style that gets the best out of RSC will not even make us close the gap on West Ham, never mind the top 4. The saving grace though is that there are many more transfer windows in the future and hopefully Hughes will quickly correct his mistake.

Thats why Hughes is the manager and you post on bluemoon, agreed in some parts, but bar Barcelona all other sides have alot of muscle in other places!

I was a Bellamy doubter and still am! One of my reasons was his injury record and that continues to be a problem.

Re: RSC is signing today

I will be seriously underwhelmed with the signing of RSC, if true. He's had one good season and that's it. Players don't move from Bayern Munich to Blackburn Rovers if they're good enough to be playing for a Champion's League challenging side, which is what we're aiming for.

Not my fault says:
"Thats not true, he took the time off to do the operation off his own back not because City made him promises"

You did'nt really read my post properly did you?
