Koulibaly was attainable tho? ADL had a price we didnt pay it , Dias 3 months ago wasnt? Benfica would've asked for the clause 100 mil or dias dosent join. i was only taking guess as we scouted him for 18 months.

Benfica would've never settled for this had they not lost the game vs PAOK, and since they didn't win league last season, no CL this year is a huge deal for them. No surprises they want to sell for as much as possible right now.

Would it be too much of a stretch to think we could still be in for KK? Ota has gone which means we are where we were in terms of numbers. Quality maybe better but the numbers are the same. Akè could play more of a LB and CDM role too. Just a thought.

Can’t imagine it at all. We didn’t bring Dias over to be a backup nor would Koulibaly be one. If we are continuing to ship for defenders we should be looking at literally any LB with a pulse
