I’ll be honest, don’t recall ever watching the guy much, however I watched him like a hawk for the second half of today‘s game after finishing watching Chelsea.
I know it was a stroll in the park for Benfica, but what stood out most to me was how organised he was and how immaculate his concentration appeared. He kept the back line in check, he was the one organising the high line and where the other defenders followed his lead. He reads the game well, he never gave the impression that he allowed his guard to drop, always glancing left and right to see where everyone was.
Fingers crossed he’s what we need.

Dias is more established than Kounde. He will fit right in and be more of an immediate presence.clear downgrade from koulibaly and koundé imo but it is what it is. hope he fares better than lindelof

Best video of him so far. His long-passing is certainly exceptional.
You're probably right there. I can see Aké playing a fair bit. And he admitted he's trained for more than just filling in for centre half.Got to it before I'd edited lol Was saying Ake could play more of a LB/CDM role.

More details: Rubén Dias will sign until June 2025, Otamendi will join Benfica until June 2023. Rubén value will be around €55m, Otamendi value will be €15m. Benfica have accepted the same bid that Sevilla turned down for Koundé
