More details: Rubén Dias will sign until June 2025, Otamendi will join Benfica until June 2023. Rubén value will be around €55m, Otamendi value will be €15m. Benfica have accepted the same bid that Sevilla turned down for Koundé
Benfica are crazy valuing Ota at €15m. That part is certainly good work by Txiki.

No comment on Dias but going to our 3/4th choice isn’t generally a great sign. Considering this position was our top priority and a key area that needs addressing we really should have gone all out for our first choice, there’s a few areas where you buy the absolute best if you want the titles, this is one of those.

This guy starts as RCB hands down. Dont fool yourself thinking otherwise

He was our first choice a year or so ago. Benfica's valuation and demand that we pay his €100m release clause was the issue. Their position has lowered their valuation.

The passing stands out. I do t know that teams leave space for that ball over the top against us . A lot of slide tackles but he seems a committed defender. Most of my problems with Stones are his giving space when attackers run at him or marking an area in the box. Hopefully Dias will be more of that front foot defender we need
