I would be lying if I said that he is my favorite choice but still has some advantages: he is very strong, tall (1.87), great with the ball and only 23 years old! At the age of 23 the great Van Dijk still played for Celtic. I still hope another CB comes but if not then there is something to work with.

If this guy is as slow as some are suggesting, I’d rather not bother. Our main problem is the long ball over the top of centre backs who turn like the QE2 and are as slow as fuck. You don’t remove that issue by adding another snail in there. I’m just waiting for the game where we stick Dias, Laporte, Rodri and Gundogan in together, that will be a fantastic watch.
