I don't think many will be for this, an I still think it's not the greatest option, but it's definitely not as bad as getting Maguire last year. I don't see him as a better player than Stones, which is imo, the idea for getting a solid replacement. But if this has to be it, so be it. I will trust the board and Pep for what it's worth.

If we sign him, it's because we've decided we need precisely him from the options which are available. I don't think the reason is that he is cheaper. If the reason is financial, it's probably because Kounde is not available for less than say 80m and that's a lot in the current covid situation. Trust Txiki and Pep, more often than not they get things right.

Benfica fans are fed up with their board, these are likely ironic cheers. They want better so getting some money for Dias is obviously great to them for reinvesting in squad.

We are absolutely mugs for paying €70m (60+10) for Dias... Kounde would go for maybe 5-10m more and is from different planet.

I thought he was exceptional for Portugal in whatever international tournament we were all watching a while back & really fancied him for City, but haven't seen much of him in domestic football last season & just heard people slagging him off in recent times.
