Rugby League Season 2023

Yeah there were only about 20 seconds left, but again you never know: huge run up field keeping the ball alive and a wonder try or a wonder drop goal (we’ve seen them before) and it’s a win or GPET. You never know in sport.

Not even sure there would have been time to kick off would there? Didn’t notice exactly but don’t think Wigan even played the ball before time was up. Maybe they could have forfeited the conversion attempt and just had time for a short kick off. 1000/1 shot at best though.

Good advert for the game and a full house when on tv.

Willie Isa with a golf ball on side of his head showed how tough a game it was tonight.

It was a record attendance at the Halliwell apparently. Good to see at Rugby as I feared it was dying on its arse last season but that might be because Wire were shit!

Yet another duck egg for Wakey.

That’s 5 in 9 games now.

It’s bad enough not being able to see where your next win is coming from. But you know you’re in trouble when you can’t even see a point or two on the horizon.
