Abdull is approaching being fully fit now and adds another dimension to Rovers. Is Asiata back for Leigh?
The early kick-off for Saints v Wire is an odd one as I thought it was going to be teatime, but I can only really see one winner there as Saints are still the best team in the comp… Saints would have won the LLS had they not had the WCC disrupt their early season. They lost 5 of their first 10 SL games after coming back from Aus but have only lost 2 of their last 17 since.
Although, stranger things have happened!
But I’m most looking forward to the NRL Grand Final:
The best two teams in the comp going head-to-head with nothing between them in the table this season (both P24 W18 L6) and against each other they had one win each, both low scoring with massive defensive displays from both teams in both games (Brisbane4 Penrith15 in March and Penrith12 Brisbane13 in May).
With Penrith’s experience and them going for their third title in a row (first time anyone will have done that since Parramatta in the early 1980s), I think they’ll edge it. But would like to see Brisbane win as my Cousin lives in Brisbane and is married to a Brisbanite and their kids are Brisbanites. Plus we’ve got an English lad playing for Brisbane with Herbie Farnoworth and Lee Briers is on the coaching staff there.
