Rugby League Season 2023

Doncaster promoted as expected, looks like Keighley down despite leading 10-0 at HT and having and being 5 PD ahead with more scored, manage to lose by 8.

Final score Lions win 22-12. Keighley relegated and Doncaster promoted.

The RFL damaging the game again by pretending they are suspending 3 Wigan players, only for them to be available for the next first team game. Bans can be used up in reserve team games that the calibre of players wouldn’t be considered for lol.

The number of neutral fans at Grand Final and Challenge Cup finals is diminishing with RFL corruption a factor.

Just watched the Rugby League Show on catch up. I couldn’t understanding why the Leigh “winning try” was chalked off.

Assuming they showed the same footage as Sky, the video ref clearly explained that there were no angles available to clearly show the on field call was wrong. You could tell by his tone that he wasn’t seeing much to support the decision either. But he’s got to go with the onfield decision if he can’t see proof it was definitely wrong.

No way he’s chalking it off if the ref had given a try but the ref saw it as obstruction. As harsh as it was, that’s what he saw and you can understand why at full speed with one look.

The only thing I could see was that the dummy runner obstructed the Wigan defender. It was pretty marginal though, and the ref's on-field call was the decider.
True mate but it had no affect on the “score”. I think the RFL and IMG have got to show that teams outside of Wigan, Saints and Catalans get their share of the decisions. They are the better teams so don’t need a helping hand. The disciplinary process was improving this season until the latest farce for the play offs.

I think if things carry on like they are going we won’t have a fully professional Super League.

Obviously, there’s a big responsibility on other Clubs to make themselves more competitors on the pitch and increase their support off it.

Anyway, congrats to Wigan on the hub cap. They’ve played good, tough rugby league as well as having flair.

Wigan do seem to have developed an idea of how to attack. Very annoying.

I haven't seen the stuff about non-suspensions as I was away, but I agree that the try looked unaffected.

Saturday should be good - Roby's and LMS' last home match, live on TV.
