Not going to get into arguments about how many Wigan were there but found it a bit odd that the commentators kept saying how it was a sell out, yet it was 2,000 down on what they’ve had there before. Unless it holds less now than it used to?

Was it a record crowd for a Leigh game?

There were 10,308 there last night but there have been bigger crowds for non-Leigh games:
England v France 10,377
Cook Island v Tonga 10,544 (my mate’s daughter sang the National anthems with a choir when she was a nipper that night)
Widnes v Cas 12,005

Elton John played there in front of 17,000 once n’all.

Maybe I misheard them and they said it was Leigh’s biggest crowd then. I was sure I’d read it held 12,000 plenty of times, so was surprised when they announced 10,000.

Probably that thing where you hear words but your brain tells you what you think they’re saying, rather than what they actually are.

It was Leigh's biggest crowd their and a sell out, as you can't sell seats you already sold for advertising coverings and the stage that the band plays on takes out a block too.
