In 2012, the week before the CC final, Wire went to bottom of the league London and lost 62-18.

Then beat Leeds (in their pomp) in the CC final the week after.

Wire are nowhere near as good as the 2012 team currently, Blake Austin won’t be playing, and I can’t see them beating Saints next week. But stranger things have happened!

Wire are busted with injuries or players that are fit only just coming back from injury and are in terrible form. Even at full strength Wire have some poor players.

Saints are flying, are in their best form since 2006, have their best side since 2006, are at full strength and have had opportunity to rest star players in recent months.

Only one winner here or what?..

One of the best 24-48 hours of my life
Yesterday, was a milestone birthday (50), and Mrs Goldblatt got the three of us (mini Goldblatt, too) to the Etihad Stadium tour, loved it.

Fast forward to today, and a game where EVERYONE wrote us off, and we win....brilliant.
