Rugby Union World Cup 2019

England’s first try alone was a spectacle. You might not have liked it but Wales are hardly the team of the 70s or the Stephen Jones inspired team of the noughties. I like Wales but you need a reality check on your style of play. I will be cheering on Wales tomorrow but you are only in the semis because the ref allowed a forward pass try.
That's not how it read in the next days chip wrappings ;-)

The England try was good, I agree.

I agree that Wales aren't expansive, but don't think I've claimed they are and with Williams out, even less so. It's a shame the quick SA winger is out, as he offers something different. SA were very good against an underpowered Japan, a bit careless in the first half, but very good in the second half. I think they'll win.

"only in the semis"? Hmm. Wales were poor, but were on top at the end and had several minutes left to score, 6 or 7 of normal time from recollection. We'll never know what would have happened if the rip had been called as forward - I thought they backed off a bit once ahead. France lost the match more than Wales won it.
