Rugby World Cup 2023

Won’t have that sort of fortune if we play them again I would imagine
We'd nothing go our way at times, particularly the first 15 minutes. Be interesting if we meet in the final, both teams learned a lot in that first half today.
We won both halves though. I'd feel confident, although I might need some sedatives for the match itself.

Think it was Dreams they were singing.

I remember it being ‘Zombie’ because I was impressed with how many could hold the tune. City fans seem to struggle with the ‘awoooooo’ in ‘Follow You Everywhere’.

Ireland stood up and where counted for in that game. I think SA and the 7-1 split hampered them I think next game they will go at least 6-2 up against France or NZ in the quarter finals there pack as good as it is Ireland done great in defence against them. Both teams are able to play to a high stander and whoever beats Ireland in this will be deemed favourites to win it. Also France with the injury they got in the last game if that player is out of the quarter finals the French won't be as good. Saying that playing at home is always going to be hard for any team to play the hosts. Look how well Japan played last time. They need to look at the draw and having it closer to the finals as it is sad to see 2 of France N Zealand South Africa and Ireland not make the semi finals.

Tonight crazy as it seems I think the Aussies beat the Welsh they need to win the game that group is not over in my few. Also Argentina have been a big disappointment this time round. Crazy to think Italy is 1 win away from a quarter final game.

Might have played both, thought I heard the chorus of dreams, but wasn't paying too much attention by that stage tbf.

Uruguay and Italy both would have liked to be on the other side of the draw I reckon. No hopers in that group but they could have ruffled a few feathers in C or D. Italy have done what they should based on rankings so far but the All Blacks will beat them.
Australia lose tonight without a bonus point and are as good as out is my prediction, they're shockingly bad. I know their emphasis is seemingly on league but I thought they'd pull something together for a world cup.

I think I’d rather play France than facebthem again.
We were great but we got a lot of luck too.
If they had their kicker it could have been a lot different.
Meant to reply to this last night. Don't know how much difference Pollard would have made, SA missed 4 kicks, but he wouldn't have even considered kicking for goal from the two that de Klerk missed, they were too far out (both 45m+). The second of those in particular was a rush of blood after Libbok's missed penalty a minute before. Ireland had those kicks in the first half and went for the corner, could just as easily say we could have had an extra 12 points instead.
Both of Libbok's missed kicks were tricky, although almost identical misses from both was a bit disappointing, if he was going to miss the second kick, it was similar enough you'd expect it to be wide of the far post instead. Pollard probably would have gotten 1 of those, he's good but he's no Dan Carter, Johnny Wilkinson or Ronan O'Gara.
They'd have been a lot worse off with him in open play though, it's not his strength and he's played very little rugby (as has Sheehan for Ireland for ex, it's not just other teams suffering with this) and they wouldn't have been able to flood the game with as many fresh forwards.
