Running thread

Hope everyone has had a good year of running in 2019. What are your plans for 2020?

My 2019:
1572.9 miles run.
Marathon PB.
2 x half marathon PBs.
10k PB.

Aims for 2020:
Lose at least 4kg and keep it off.
Get PBs in all of the above distances as a result.
Run at least as many miles as in 2019.

I've done about 820k this year, running about three times per week. I had a four week lay off with a calf injury at the start of the year, and one week off with a stomach bug.

My best 5k was 24:01 and my longest distance was 19k. This was about two weeks ago, and I tried this to see if I might be able to take on a half marathon in 2020.

I'm 58 and running for fitness, weight loss and now enjoyment. I've only been running a year, and I've lost 4 stones in the last 18 months.

My goals for 2020:

- to run at least four times per week
- most of my runs to be 10k
- to exceed 1000k
- to run in some organised 10ks
- to run a half marathon, probably Manchester
- to maintain weight at around 12 and a half stones
- to continue to support the brilliant Parkrun movement

Hoping to continue the level of running I did at end of 2019 all through 2020.

Aims:
- A double parkrun New Years Day , start as I mean to go on
- Trafford 10k in March
- Manchester Half in May
- Great North Run in September
- Better my PB for 10k or Half

Plans for next year:

- sub 20 minute park run (best this year 20:55)
- run Wilmslow half marathon
- run 25 park runs
- lower my body fat (measured today)
- lose 6 pounds in weight
- maintain my current diet,(veggy) only started two weeks ago

Got two park runs tomorrow, one at 8:30am and the next at 10am so a good start to the year

Where is the 8:30 run? I might join you for that.
