Saturday 5th June
Next Bluemoon 10k.
(your final mile (5-6) must be your fastest. Or you don’t get placed in the finishers table. Best of luck)
Who’s up for this then ?!

I'm going to Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull that day. I'll try and do it on the Saturday or Sunday. I've planned a route that goes from an altitude of 95m up to 350m, and back down again. So I should be able to hold back for a faster last mile.Who’s up for this then ?!
I'm just trying to build fitness at the moment so might take part but not go flat-out.Who’s up for this then ?!

I do weekly sprint intervals (or have been recently) - 1 min on then 1-min off and just slow down to jogging pace. Managed to get up to 17 sets last year during lockdown 1 before it started taking its toll.I tried to follow my Garmin recommended run today, which was a sprint. I started with a 15 minute warm up jog, Then it was nine sets of 10 second sprints, followed by 3 minute rests. It ended with a ten minute warm down.
Are you supposed to break into the sprints and then return to your jog, or are you supposed to rest between the sprints? In practice, I did the sprints, and walked in between them to catch my breath.
Training for the manchester marathon in October, raising money for Cancer Research.
I'm doing it too. It will be my first and last marathon. I ran 15k yesterday and 12k today. The thought of combining these into a single run, and continuing for another 15k, to be honest, is not a nice prospect. But I didn't sign up expecting it to be easy.Training for the manchester marathon in October, raising money for Cancer Research.
