Be careful out there fella. A member of our club was killed some years ago by a careless motorist who failed to see him in the dark. Even as someone relatively new to the running game I wouldn't go out on trail or roads at this time of year without a head torch and reflective kit.My bloody minors lights broke. Can't see bugger all now when I go running after work in the park. I did go around the streets on Sunday but I really don't like it. I like to be away from all the traffic etc. Wish there was a running track with floodlights near me,like the one I used to run on at The Clough. P.S just ordered new light.
Wise words Pete. I hate running on the roads. I'm hoping my new lights here when I get home. All the best mucker.Be careful out there fella. I’m terrible for this . Any run over 5 miles and I can feel my bowels going despite earlier toilet breaks and different diet regimes . I have my own little spot in the woods to unload as a precaution . A good one is to run a warm up mile and go back for an unload and then carry out your proper run.Gaz. When running 18 miles how do you manage toilet breaks? I’m just about to start my training for the marathon in April and last time I was training I really struggled with this. Just wondering what others do. Thanks.
