Ran the Blackpool half marathon today.
Horrific conditions but did it in under 2 hours.
well played son. Especially in that weather.

Thanks it was ok when the wind was behind but the othe way was hell!
But I'm raising money for Children's air ambulance so I had to get it done for them.
Anyone got any Strava routes starting near footy museum to go down the Irwell then back along the canals to make a 5-6 mile loop? It looks possible but I don't know if there's always a tow path/riverside path etc. Any tips/city centre routes of interest would be gratefully received.
Knee been bad, think it's my IT band, pain starts in the Glutes, works into the Hamstring then the knee starts all usually after 8 miles or so, meaning my training has been stopping at 13 miles for the last 3 weeks!! Running the Cyprus marathon in just over 3 weeks so hopefully the physio sessions i've got booked in between now and then help otherwise it'll be a painful second half!!
Ouch.
take it easy for next couple weeks, maybe do light jogs and swim instead.
I reckon you’d still smash a half marathon without adequate training
Half isn't a problem Mark, it's the full one followed by Manchester 3 weeks after that..........
First session tonight, been stretching plus just bought some resistance bands.Oh. Shit. That’s gonna come round fast.
Get to that physio buddy
I'd imagine the most obvious effect will be that participants will now feel less knackered on the Monday morning after it.Was anyone here planning to run the London Marathon? How does the postponement affect you?
So, no Parkruns anymore, no organised runs, no 10ks, half marathons or marathons. But at least we're allowed to go out and do our regular keep fit running.

I was due to do the Cheshire 10k today, starting and finishing at Arley Hall. This is the second cancellation of the event, and the organisers offered a virtual 10k instead. So I completed my virtual 10k on Thursday in 56:55, which was ok for me. I ran another 5k yesterday, and am about to go out on another run this morning. I'll check in again later to report if I did 5k or 10k. It looks like good running weather in Lymm today.
