2 miles home from cat sitting yesterday morning. My other half drove me there as she wanted to see the cats. It's 1.6 miles but I added bit at end to take it to 2 miles. Then 1.5 miles there and back this morning before work
5k training run done in much more pleasant conditions than of late. I don't want to wish the summer away but I find running much easier when it's a bit cooler.
Is it wrong to enjoy running in the rain?
I always seem to run faster haha (well did when I could)
Yeah, I always prefer running in the rain. Instant cooling rather than having to wait for my body to start generating sweat!
As long as it's not proper lashing down it's okay.
But yeah its a great way to cool down
The other unpleasant thing about summer running is all the insects around. I bought a pair of running shades recently to stop getting flies in my eyes, but still end up with a few in my mouth every run!
The heavier the rain, the better! As long as it's not proper lashing down it's okay.
But yeah its a great way to cool down
Is it the John L Parker plan you are doing?2.5 miles yesterday at steady/easy pace. Took opportunity tonight after work to resume my HM training plan. Week 9 run 2 of 5 miles. Longest run in almost 4 weeks (nothing over 2.5) and first training plan run in over 4 weeks. Was 23 degrees but says felt like 30. Glad I've done it and didn't talk myself out of it after work
No idea mate, found it online and copied into spreadsheet. 12 weeks of 2 shorter runs and 1 long one. No gym work etc. Its aimed at finish time of roughly 2 hours 30Is it the John L Parker plan you are doing?
