And there was an hour long queue to get a pic with the bushy sign,
6204 finishers at the 1000th Bushy Parkrun, the volunteers deserve a medal.

Have they only got 1 sign? The videos of the start looked like a scene from Braveheart. And there was an hour long queue to get a pic with the bushy sign,
Dunno, mate posted a pic of the queue for it, yep that start looked hectic, and here was me thinking peel was a crazy startHave they only got 1 sign? The videos of the start looked like a scene from Braveheart.

Wow. That's crazy. How did they estimate how many finishing tokens to bring? Where did they all park? And I thought Stretford was congested!

I did Bushy earlier this year,Was a fantastic event,Highly recommend,There was 1400 there the day I did it but the way the volunteers shepherd you into different funnels at the finish was very impressive. For last weeks event some of the finishers were having their positions written on their hand as they ran out of of tokens.Wow. That's crazy. How did they estimate how many finishing tokens to bring? Nice work on the 10k sub50 isn't easy!Managed a 10k last night in 54 Mins around Hilly Halifax.
I'm turning 50 in November and would like to attempt a 10k race under 50 Mins, anyone know of any quick routes over the next couple of months? I am aware of the Leeds Abbey dash which would have been perfect but I have plans that weekend unfortunately.

Knutsfords quick as wellDepends how far you want to travel I suppose, there is a decent 10k in Knutsford on Sunday Sept 29th, pretty flat.
Thanks, i'm off for a weekend on the beer in Bilbao on Friday 20th Sept, so that might be a bit too soon, but i'll have a look.Depends how far you want to travel I suppose, there is a decent 10k in Knutsford on Sunday Sept 29th, pretty flat.
Sounds like you need to get your priorities sorted imho, whilst being able to drink a weekends worth of beer in one day is admirable, it's not going to run a sub 50 10k now is itThanks, i'm off for a weekend on the beer in Bilbao on Friday 20th Sept, so that might be a bit too soon, but i'll have a look.

Well done mate, that's good going, weirdly my fastest 10k was on a hilly race as part of the "Tour of Thameside" event just before lockdown. That was a great event, 4 or 5 (can't remember) races over consecutive nights, by the last night it was very hard on the legs but really enjoyableManaged a 10k last night in 54 Mins around Hilly Halifax.
