Great work mate30k done this evening.
Last 6k was hard work, pace dropped quite a bit.

Starting next week (weather permitting). I've bought all the kit I think I should need and have been doing some exercises at home in preparation (as well as breaking in my new running shoes).@PragueBlue - how's the running going. Are you making any progress?
Good luck mate, take that first step you won't regret itStarting next week (weather permitting). I've bought all the kit I think I should need and have been doing some exercises at home in preparation (as well as breaking in my new running shoes).

Good work mateHi all
23 miles this morning at 8.56.
Got tired at the end, probably too quick at the start but 5 weeks before the marathon so time to improve.
Well done mateAlnwick Castle half marathon, got round in 1:45:40ish Definitely worth a racing as it was absolutely stunning course.
Nice work mate, happy birthday64th birthday today. 4 miles before work easy mile then .5 fast .5 easy x3 I'm really feeling the benefits of the intervals and also the consistency of getting out there

Well done mate.Completed Liverpool half on the weekend, weather was grim waiting to start outside the Evs new ground and then a down pour at the end! Done it in 1:57:38. Which is a PB last event half I did was 2017 and Did that in 2:14 so I'm made up with the time. My Strava has my half as 1:55ish as it says I ran 21.52km cause I was getting round people and stopped for a wee!
Passed 12 months without a drink now on 9th March 2026. Flying with that and my mate has given me his marathon spot. Just looking to get myself round, I did it last in 2018 and finished in 5:21. Looking to complete it around 4:30ish so 6:30 per K. Been consistently running 3/4 times a week since May 2025 including a long run then 5k, 10k an extra 7/8k if I do a 4th run. Longest I've ran so far is 24k 2 weeks ago in 2:24 and looking to do close to 32k this weekend then drop down 26/28k week after then drop again to work towards being ready for the marathon
