Russia interference Report

Sad to say there are plenty of people in this country, including posters on here, who are so desperate to be right about the way they voted both in the 2016 referendum and for the Tory Government that they are prepared to completely ignore the actions of a hostile state interfering in the future prospects and wellbeing of our country.

In my book this is treachery.

What do you mean by “desperate to be right”?

Elaborate please.

Also, Russia interfering in an election isn’t the fault nor the responsibility of an individual voting.

You conveniently left out the Scottish Indy vote.

Regardless, the Tories have, for a long time, been preoccupied with power over principle, so this doesn’t surprise me.

did you even look at the news or the press conference by the committee?

2016: "Actively didn't look as they did not want to know". that is not the same as "found no evidence".

2019.

Yes, I watched the full briefing, and the simple fact remains that their is
no evidence for either the GE or Referendum being affected by the Russians.
I am perfectly aware of Russian malign intent, everyone is, but when nothing concrete
can be pointed at, how can an investigation prove elections are tainted without
supporting evidence? This is/was just the last throw of the dice for the losers, a forlorn
hope that wanted results overturned, and a refusal to accept the will of the people.

Jesus wept, blinkered much?

if you don't look then you don't find evidence. if they looked and found nothing then fine, but they didn't even look.

This is not the same as found no evidence, to say they didn't "find" something suggests they "looked".

Gotta laugh.

Here’s some advice for you, stop posting as it only confirms your stupidity.

BTW this guy is not a ‘conspiracy nut job’.

Try looking him up.

Love it when you call me stupid x

Look him up? No thanks.

I will leave you to the "whistleblower" who as far as i can see and tell, does nothing other than "blow his own whistle" with little to no actual effect on anything.

Still........in twitter land you can be anything you want to be i suppose.

Christopher Wylie is a Canadian data consultant who previously worked at Cambridge Analytica, a political consulting firm led by Alexander Nix.

He ain't a nobody if I'm honest.

For your own sanity and mental well being you should come off twitter.

Conspiracy theory nut job paradise where everyone is an expert and knows everything.
Except this guy worked for Cambridge Analytica and was intimately involved with what went on.

How do you see that if you don’t want to look it up?
Oh yes the same as everything else. Supposition stated as facts plucked straight from your arse.

I know who he is and he has decided to go into bat for remain which is his choice.

Companies like Cambridge Analytical have been around for years and will continue to be around. One like it got Obama elected. Every party and political campaign since the world over has used one just like it. They mine data, personal data and they then target voters they think they can sway their way.

Im all for banning it completely but it seems that some only want the ones banned that helped get a decision they dont like. Take the 2017 GE result in which Corbyn and Labour did fantastically well for instance. yep thats right, £millions spent on digital campaigns with clever algorithms used to target facebook and other social media and it very nearly won them the day. Not a peep about that though form the ones whining. Why is that?
