Except this guy worked for Cambridge Analytica and was intimately involved with what went on.
How do you see that if you don’t want to look it up?
Oh yes the same as everything else. Supposition stated as facts plucked straight from your arse.
I know who he is and he has decided to go into bat for remain which is his choice.
Companies like Cambridge Analytical have been around for years and will continue to be around. One like it got Obama elected. Every party and political campaign since the world over has used one just like it. They mine data, personal data and they then target voters they think they can sway their way.
Im all for banning it completely but it seems that some only want the ones banned that helped get a decision they dont like. Take the 2017 GE result in which Corbyn and Labour did fantastically well for instance. yep thats right, £millions spent on digital campaigns with clever algorithms used to target facebook and other social media and it very nearly won them the day. Not a peep about that though form the ones whining. Why is that?
I hope it is all banned and a more transparent method of campaigning is introduced where the big parties all have the same amount of money to spend and are truly held accountable for breaking any rules by an independent body.
Why is that?
You are absolutely correct, and a similar ammount of people desperate to be right about voting the other way that are prepared to attribute anything that doesn't go their way to a hostile state.Sad to say there are plenty of people in this country, including posters on here, who are so desperate to be right about the way they voted both in the 2016 referendum and for the Tory Government that they are prepared to completely ignore the actions of a hostile state interfering in the future prospects and wellbeing of our country.
In my book this is treachery.
And here I am, stuck in the middle with you...You are absolutely correct, and a similar ammount of people desperate to be right about voting the other way that are prepared to attribute anything that doesn't go their way to a hostile state.
My take away from what I've heard today is that Russian interference is not a slam dunk for either side of the Brexit or Scottish referenda, but rather both sides have been played equally into polarised views of the issues. The goal of Russia was social division rather than one side or the other. And here I am, stuck in the middle with you...
