I’m up for it, if for nothing else to show our vocal and dedicated support for Zinchenko and hopefully us hammering the rags will at least be a distraction for him even if only for 90 minutes.

At any given time in the world there is so much cruelty and so many conflicts that football will do its job which is to give humans that 90 minutes of escape to release the pressure of real life.

If I thought about all the cruel things done by humans all the time I wouldn't even be able to function as a person, we're horrible but IMHO opinion immersing yourself into a football game is an important part of life.

I’ve seen a few threads today describing that 40 mile column of armour as the one of the biggest military disasters since WW2.

- The front has been taken out so it’s blocked.

- It’s run out of fuel, the batteries are almost certainly flat and the troops have no food

- its parked so tightly that refuelling trucks and food supplies can’t get to the front.

- As soon as anything goes off-road, it is lost to the mud.

- The Ukrainians can pick off any refuelling attempts with the drones.

- The only reason it is still there is because the Ukrainians don’t need to worry about it and can divert focus elsewhere.

- The Russian general was shot by sniper because he was forced/pressured to go to the front line to sort it out which points to it being a major embarrassment/issue for the Russians.

- Very soon the whole column will be abandoned as troops go to get food on foot.

So hope you are right. Monumental fuck up.

Weird really, I posted an opinion piece from a Marxist perspective.

I did not endorse the article, i posted it so that other posters could read that different perspectives from the prevailing BM perspective were available. The article was then moderated.

Has BM become like Putin's Russia were censorship is rife and only the official party line is tolerated. I wonder if many of the people who aimed abuse at me see the irony in that.

Anyway you can not beat a good BM pile on, but I am a big boy, I can take abuse, but remember I can also give it out, especially to those who think that by myself posting an article makes me some sort of idiot. Thanks to those who gave me abuse, you proved my point quite beautifully. You are the victims of propaganda in exactly the same way that the Russian people are victims of Putin's propaganda.

My cruise in May been amended, giving St. Petersburg two fingers and now having extra day in Copenhagen and added Warnemünde in Germany.

Reasonably happy as Warnemunde is brilliant.

Might be a bit spicy in the Baltic Sea by then. Still, as long as the ship isn’t called Lusitania, you should be fine.
