Watching the news now, with crying babies etc. Its heartbreaking
Are you seriously suggesting we go to war with Russia on the off chance he's just bluffing about using nukes. It's heartbreaking what's happening in Ukraine but it will be 1000 times worse if nukes start flying. We are sitting idly by in the manner that we are letting him kill innocent people, sanctions are all well and good but I doubt Putin gives one fuck for them, I doubt he will be struggling to eat or heat his home like his people will eventually and let's face it like we will as well.
By the time sanctions really hit home the damage may well be irreversible.
That would have been my point. We sat by idly for a lot longer than this during WW2. March 1938 was when Germany annexed Austria. Even after this, we signed a deal agreeing that Germany can keep an area of Czechoslovakia to prevent further violence. In the meantime, Italy invaded Albania. It wasn't until September 1939 that we finally declared war on them.
Of course you could argue that technically we've been appeasing Putin for far longer with Georgia and Crimea.

I guess I am and I mean the rest of the real world bar the usual fucks that think like Putin. Are you seriously suggesting we go to war with Russia on the off chance he's just bluffing about using nukes. Hopefully the Russian public will wake the fcuk up and all rise up against the stateThe sanctions have already hit home.
Ask yourself how people in this country would react if the Bank of England made a special address to the country to tell them the country's financial reality has drastically changed? If it was predicted the economy would shrink 35% in a single quarter? If the stock market was closed for a week? If the biggest bank rank out of money? If there were hour long queues for Cash?
The Russian public might not have reached the point of hitting the streets en masse, but that's not the same as the sanctions not hitting home.
