I thought he made some decent points tbh. Not ones I necessarily agree with, but I'm secure enough to just shrug my shoulders and move on from those.
The point about undermining the US dollar is a good one. It is a currency in peril at present - I'm sure our American posters are well aware of this. Putin's demand for payment in rubels not only props up his own currency, but is a threat last seen to the dollar when Saddam tried to change the currency oil was traded in just over 20 years ago and we all know how that ended. The attack on the dollar may yet prove to be the 'red line' in terms of a western (US led) military response to events in Ukraine.
